Private STL, OBJ & 3MF diagnostics and repair

See what’s broken.
Repair it with confidence.

MeshMedic highlights mesh faults in STL, OBJ and 3MF files, explains what they mean and lets you choose exactly what to repair. Compare the result before downloading—privately in your browser.

01See the fault

Open and non-manifold edges are highlighted directly on your model.

02Control the repair

Choose exactly which safe operations MeshMedic applies.

03Verify the result

Compare the original and repaired mesh before downloading.

Free online STL, OBJ & 3MF fixer

Make broken 3D models printable again.

A 3D model can look correct on screen while still containing gaps, doubled triangles, inside-out surfaces or impossible edges. MeshMedic examines the triangle topology behind STL, OBJ and 3MF files, shows you where common faults live and lets you choose which safe repairs to apply.

01

Fix non-manifold STL geometry

Find edges connected to too many faces—the kind of ambiguous geometry that can cause missing layers, strange toolpaths and failed slices.

02

Close straightforward mesh holes

Detect exposed boundaries and conservatively fill small, near-planar openings while leaving complex or uncertain geometry untouched.

03

Repair without uploading

Your STL, OBJ or 3MF stays on your device. Analysis, visualisation and repair run locally in the browser, with no server queue or model storage.

3D model repair questions

Before you slice.

Which 3D model formats can I repair?+

Drop an STL, OBJ or 3MF into MeshMedic, inspect the highlighted issues, select your repair operations and compare the original with the repaired model before downloading a repaired STL.

Does MeshMedic upload or store my model?+

No. The file is parsed and repaired locally inside your web browser. It is not sent to a MeshMedic server.

What mesh errors can it detect?+

MeshMedic checks for open edges, non-manifold edges, degenerate faces, duplicate faces and separate shells. It can also weld matching vertices and recalculate surface normals.

Will automatic repair always preserve my design?+

No automatic tool can completely understand design intent. MeshMedic uses conservative operations and lets you review the result, but you should always inspect the final slice preview before printing.
